Pelican Wireless · Thermostat
Pelican Wireless TC1 Commercial Thermostat
Connected commercial thermostat with temperature sensing for Pelican building controls. Requires a Pelican Gateway.
Will this work with my system?
Match your equipment to these requirements before ordering.
Works with
- 24 V AC conventional and heat-pump systems; two-/four-pipe fan coils per wiring guide; zoning requires the separate Pelican zoning design
- Staging: Conventional: up to 2 heating / 2 cooling stages; heat pump: up to 2 compressor stages plus auxiliary/emergency heat. Two-speed fan configurations reduce available stage outputs.
System requirements
- Supply voltage: 24 V AC nominal, 60 Hz; operating range 23–30 V AC
- Power: Hardwired AC
- Wiring: Configuration-dependent: direct wiring uses R/C; included wiring module supports a minimum three-wire R/C/D link. Not a wire-free or battery-powered installation.
- Electrical load limits: 2.0 A running on Y, Y2, W, W2 and G
- Connection: Pelican mesh network; not Wi-Fi
Limitations & exclusions
- Not a battery-powered or wire-free thermostat; hardwired power is required.
Check before you buy
- Match the equipment type, stages and fan speeds to the exact TC-model wiring diagram; two-speed fan configurations reduce available stage outputs.
- Confirm a Pelican gateway and mesh connection for configuration and remote management.
- Check the R/C wiring or the included module’s minimum three-wire R/C/D connection against the installation guide.
Installation & configuration details
- PEARL and TA1 are optional accessories with application-specific wiring and configuration. A TC thermostat supports one PEARL and one TA1.
- PEARL demand-based ventilation requires a CO2-sensing TC3 or TC4 and appropriate connected equipment.

Overview
Part of the Pelican Wireless system. See the system overview for component roles and selection requirements.
The TC1 is a touchscreen thermostat for commercial spaces using Pelican building controls. It combines local temperature adjustment with centrally managed schedules and operating information through the Pelican web application. TC1 provides temperature sensing without the built-in humidity or carbon-dioxide sensors offered on other TC models.
Equipment and system requirements
A Pelican Gateway is required to configure and manage this thermostat. Its radio communicates over Pelican’s mesh network rather than directly over Wi-Fi. Check the building’s gateway and network arrangement before selecting this product.
The installation guide covers conventional equipment, heat pumps and two- or four-pipe fan coils. Output assignments change with the equipment and fan configuration; the guide must be checked against the actual system. Pelican zone-damper applications use additional system components and their separate installation guide.
Occupant controls and scheduling
The touch interface supports local adjustment subject to administrator restrictions. The system provides daily, weekday/weekend and seven-day scheduling, temporary schedule overrides, vacation operation, keypad lockout and adjustable heat/cool setpoint limits.
Installation considerations
This is a hardwired 24 V AC device. The supplied limited-wiring module can be used where the equipment-to-thermostat connection has at least three suitable conductors. It does not eliminate the need for power and a common connection at the installed components. Use the model-specific manual for wiring and siting.
Technical document notes
Pelican’s current series data sheet and product page disagree on dimensions and the lower ambient operating limit. Those values are intentionally omitted here pending confirmation of the applicable hardware revision.
