Coordinate central equipment and individual zone demands with a compatible Pelican zoning system.
Zoning allows a central HVAC system to respond to temperature demands from several spaces. It involves the central equipment, zone dampers, room controls, and the sequence that coordinates them.
Product options
The Pelican Z8 Zone Coordinator manages central equipment serving up to eight zone-thermostat demands. Pelican TC-series thermostats provide room controls within the Pelican system; zone damper connections and any reheat functions must follow the separate zoning documentation.
The Z8 is a central equipment controller. Individual zones still need compatible damper controls and actuators, and the installation needs a functioning Pelican network and gateway. The related products below are components to evaluate, not a complete zoning bill of materials.
Before selecting
Document the number of zones, central unit staging, damper actuator types, supply-fan control, duct static-pressure strategy, and any reheat equipment. Check the required temperature and pressure sensing against the design. Confirm gateway coverage and the network needed for commissioning and remote management.
