Overview
Measure temperature where it matters, even when the thermostat is mounted elsewhere. The C7189U1005 sends a wired temperature reading to a compatible thermostat and can be used individually or in the manufacturer's averaging arrangement.
What's included
The sensor mounts directly to the wall using the supplied mounting screws and anchors. A compatible thermostat is required.
Before installation
- Confirm that your exact thermostat model supports this wired sensor and configure its installer settings for remote sensing.
- Plan a sensor location with good air circulation, away from drafts and direct heat sources; keep the wiring run within 200 ft.
- Use a trained installer and follow the mounting instructions (PDF, page 2) and single-sensor or averaging wiring diagrams (PDF, page 3).
