System requirements
- 24 VAC power on R and C, with RSBus I+ and I− communication.
- Match the complete indoor and outdoor equipment models and any accessories to an application-specific installation diagram.
- Conventional equipment and dual-fuel arrangements require the applicable equipment-interface and sensor instructions; do not infer compatibility from a 24 VAC rating alone.
Limitations & exclusions
- Do not connect the thermostat to voltages higher than 30 VAC.
- The thermostat is not a direct conventional R/W/Y/G terminal replacement.
Check before you buy
- Compare indoor/outdoor model numbers and the R, C, I+, I− wiring with installation-guide pages 4–11.
- For EIM or dual-fuel systems, check the exact equipment-specific literature: the specification sheet contains conflicting broad EIM/outdoor-unit wording, so no blanket EIM pairing is asserted here.
- If remote sensing is needed, select the named MyHomeComfort sensor generation rather than assuming other Allied sensors pair.

Overview
Allied Air catalog number 31Y97 identifies the MyHomeComfort CA4 communicating thermostat supplied with its subbase. The 7-inch color touchscreen provides local temperature control, humidity indication, schedules, and system information. The thermostat communicates with compatible equipment over RSBus.
Controls and sensing
The CA4 supports up to four schedules plus Schedule IQ. Screen-lock choices include unlocked, partially locked with setpoint access, and locked. Up to six optional MyHomeComfort Smart Room Sensors can be added; these sensors are separate accessories.
System selection
Match the full indoor and outdoor model numbers and control generation to the installation diagrams. The thermostat requires 24 VAC R/C power and I+/I− communication, rather than conventional switched thermostat terminals. Equipment-interface, dual-fuel, zoning, and ventilation arrangements require their own documented components.
The specification sheet’s general EIM/outdoor-unit wording is inconsistent; this page does not assert that every EIM and communicating outdoor unit can be combined. Use the exact equipment and interface installation diagrams for that configuration. The linked installation guide also limits thermostat supply to no more than 30 VAC.
